Bio

Mary is a licensed Realtor® and has earned Prudential Real Estate’s Fine Homes Specialist designation for her expertise in marketing luxury homes and properties. As part of the Efrain Prieto Group, Mary represents some of Santa Fe’s most unique and distinctive properties.
Before she became a real estate professional, Mary worked in public relations in Dallas, Texas. She was a Texas associate with Sotheby’s Fine Art Auction. Mary used her art skills as a furniture, clothing and textile designer. She was also a contributing editor for Veranda magazine (Dallas).
Mary has a BA (French) from and University of Texas and has done graduate-level coursework in Art Therapy at Southwestern College.
”I love architecture and psychology,” Mary says, “and both have come in handy in real estate.” She has a keen eye for the “right” property. Her design sense can help a buyer see a home’s potential—or help a seller showcase his/her property for maximum buyer interest. Mary’s real estate skills include her attention to detail, her proven networking ability, and her focused approach to customer service.
Mary has long been an active supporter of the Santa Fe non-profit sector. She is currently on the board of directors of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. Mary began the shelter’s popular “Pet Calendar.” The calendar, published for ten years, has been a highly visible and successful fund-raising tool for the shelter.
On a personal note, Mary says, “I love spending time with my parrots and dogs. I am passionate about hiking, although real estate has taken its toll on the amount of time I can spend in the mountains—out of cell phone reach. Entertaining, travel, family, painting, and flower arranging are all very important to me.”
