Bio
Tai is a licensed Realtor® and commercial broker. He has earned Prudential Real Estate’s prestigious President’s Circle award in 2006, placing him in the top 10% of Prudential brokers nationwide. As one of Prudential Real Estate’s most successful new agents, Tai received national recognition with a Prudential “Rock Climber” Award, in 2005. He also carries Prudential’s Fine Homes Specialist designation. Tai is a Certified Commercial Investment Management (CCIM) candidate. He’s also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a private pilot.
He has lived in Santa Fe for more than 19 years and possesses an detailed knowledge of the city and its unique character. Tai came into real estate after eight years as a designer for a local manufacturer of green cleaning products where he was entrusted with the design and construction of a $2,000,000, state-of-the-art, glass foam manufacturing facility. As a director of a not-for-profit preservation group, he oversaw grants in South America that funded rainforest restoration and Native American cultural preservation projects.
In 2004 he joined the Natural Homes division of Prudential Santa Fe to help develop and market Oshara Village. Oshara Village is one of the most energy and water efficient developments every built in Santa Fe. Tai specializes in matching homebuyers with state-of-the-art, energy-efficient homes in Oshara.
Tai works with both residential and commercial clients to help them realize their real estate goals. “I like to start with a person’s goals. By focusing on the long term, I help my clients ensure that today’s big decisions have positive results for years to come.” In his view, “Building relationships with clients is about building trust. Trust can’t be assumed . . . it has to be earned.”
Tai lives at the Commons on the Alameda, a cohousing community, with his wife, Satara, and two children. He has served as the president of the community’s homeowner’s association. Tai is a member of the Santa Fe Association of Realtors® and the Commercial Association of Realtors® of New Mexico. When he’s not working, Tai enjoys snowboarding, camping, aviation, and travel in South America.
